Diane Sinclair BA(Hons)

ABOUT the artist

Diane Sinclair BA(Hons)

After studying for 4 years at art school and a career in graphic design, advertising and marketing, 6 years ago Diane returned to her passion for art and now works as a professional artist and tutor. Painting for exhibition and to commission for clients in the UK and internationally enables Diane to cover a wide range of subjects, including landscapes, pet portraits, wildlife and florals.

Diane aims to combine rich colour and high contrast in her work, to create vibrancy and mood. She works in most mediums, including pencil, watercolour, acrylics, ink and charcoal. Her preferred medium is soft pastel.

Diane runs regular drawing and painting classes and delivers workshops and demonstrations for art groups throughout the UK. Private one to one tutoring is also available and private sessions for small groups at her studio near Hinckley. As a tutor, she enjoys helping beginners to build confidence and explore different mediums and techniques and also  works with experienced artists, encouraging them to progress further.
